"Dead Island with more of the same stuff" doesn't sound like something I'd want to play at the moment, especially not with The Following right around the corner. With all the cool stuff DL introduced to the first-person zombie survival game, DI seems like a thing of the past and will have to make significant advancements in terms of gameplay to make itself a notable game. I'm not sure if I'm all that interested in DI2 anymore. Hoping that one turns out pretty well because what I've seen so far looks pretty cool. Yager is now working on a capital ship multiplayer combat game called Dreadnought. A guy from Yager said they had conflicting ideas about the development of DI2, and as such they parted ways. As far as I've heard, Deep Silver has not given an official statement as to why, nor have they named a new developer to take over development.
